As the number of visitors to Jeju island increases during spring, the province plans to enhance worn hiking trails.

Jeju City announced plans to complete renovation on hiking trails for nine mountain trails, including (다랑쉬오름) Daraengshioreum in (세화리) Sehwa-ri, (구좌읍) Gujwa-eup and (노끄메오름) Nokkomeoreum in (유수암리) Yusuam-ri, (애월읍) Aewol-eup by June.

The project will cost 1 billion won, and will involve overall facility improvements, such as the replacement of pedestrian mats, safety ropes, and railings.

Jeju City is urging visitors to refrain from using alternative routes other than the designated hiking trails for safety reasons.




제주시, 다랑쉬오름 등 9개 오름 탐방로 정비


봄철 탐방객이 늘면서 시설이 노후화된 오름 탐방로가 정비됩니다.

제주시는 구좌읍 세화리 다랑쉬오름과 애월읍 유수암리 노꼬메오름 등 9개 오름의 탐방로 정비를 6월까지 마무리 할 계획이라고 밝혔습니다.

이번 정비 사업에는 10억원의 예산이 투입되며 보행매트와 안전로프, 난간 등 전반적인 시설 정비가 이뤄질 예정입니다.

제주시는 안전사고 예방을 위해 탐방로 이외의 다른 경로 출입은 자제해 줄 것을 당부했습니다.
