Jeju City is supplying environmentally friendly compost recycled from food waste collected from homes and restaurants to local farms.

Through its food waste resource facility, Jeju City provides free compost to farms in the (봉개) Bonggae area, and plans to sell it for 2,000 won per bag to farms in other areas.

Last year, Jeju City provided over 6,400 tons of compost to 195 farms free of charge.

제주시가 가정이나 식당에서 수거한 음식물류폐기물을 친환경퇴비로 만들어 농가에 공급합니다.

제주시는 음식물자원화시설을 통해 생산된 부산물 퇴비를 봉개지역 농가에 우선적으로 무상 곱급하고 다른지역 희망농가의 경우 1포당 2천 원에 판매할 계획입니다.
