Starting from June, the "Housing Lease Reporting System" will be implemented to protect the rights of tenants.

The province has announced that, as the grace period for the reporting system ends on May 31, starting from June, if the lease contract exceeds a security deposit of KRW 60 million or monthly rent of KRW 300,000, it must be reported within 30 days.

However, contracts that only expire without changes in security deposit or monthly rent will be excluded.

Failure to report within the deadline or providing false information may result in a fine of up to 1 million KRW.

임차인 권리 보호를 위한
'주택 임대차 신고제'가 오는 6월부터 시행됩니다.

제주도는
주택 임대차 신고제 계도기간이
다음달 31일 종료됨에 따라
6월부터 보증금 6천만원 또는 월차임 30만 원을 초과하는
임대차 계약인 경우 30일 내에 신고해야 한다고 밝혔습니다.

다만 보증금이나 월차임 증감 없이
임대차 기간만 만료되는 계약은
신고대상에서 제외됩니다.

기간 내에 신고를 하지 않거나 거짓 신고할 경우
최대 100만 원의 과태료가 부과됩니다.
