Oil Prices Hike

With the recent increase in oil prices, many consumers are trying to fill up their tanks when the price is even slightly cheaper.

It's definitely a burden to drive when the price is in the 1700 won range.

The price of gasoline in Jeju, which had surged to an all-time high of 2,200 won per liter at one point, has fallen to the 1,500 won range due to the government's fuel tax reduction measures and stability in international oil prices.


However, international oil prices are fluctuating again as major oil-producing countries, including OPEC, have recently announced plans to reduce oil production.

Currently, the average price of gasoline in Jeju is 1,692 won per liter, up by 50 won over the past two weeks, and approaching the 1,700 won mark.

The price of diesel has also risen by 36 won over the same period to 1,573 won per liter.
For those whose livelihoods depend on driving, the rising cost of fuel is becoming an even greater burden.

The company fills up the fuel of construction equipment. We contracted at the lower rate of oil prices, but if the oil price rises, we end up doing the construction at a loss.

To make matters worse, the fuel tax reduction measures that had restrained the price of oil are scheduled to end this month.

The current reduction in fuel tax rates for gasoline and diesel are 25 percent and 37 percent, respectively.

The government has been considering extending the fuel tax reduction measures in response to the recent rise in oil prices, but even this is difficult due to the decrease in tax revenue.

As a result, it has been reported that the government is considering gradual normalization of fuel tax in response to this situation. Now, all eyes are watching their final decision.




기름값 다시 들썩…유류세 인하 '변수'

최근 기름값이 다시 오르자
조금이라도 저렴할 때
기름을 채워 넣으려는 소비자들이 많아진 겁니다.

아무래도 1700원대는 차 타고 다니는 입장에서는 부담스럽긴 하죠.

한때 리터당 역대 최고가인 2천 200원대까지 치솟았던
도내 휘발유 가격은
정부의 유류세 인하 조치와
국제유가 안정세 속에
1천 500원대까지 떨어졌습니다.

하지만 최근
석유수출국기구인 OPEC 등 주요 산유국들이
원유 생산량을 줄이겠다고 발표하면서
국제유가가 다시 들썩이고 있습니다.

현재 도내 휘발유 평균가격은 리터당 1천692원으로
2주 사이 50원 오르며
1천700원 선을 바라보고 있습니다.

경유 가격은 리터당 1천573원으로 같은 기간 36원 상승했습니다.

운전이 생업과 이어지는 경우에는
오르고 있는 기름값이 더욱 부담스럽게 다가옵니다.

장비 같은 경우에는 회사에서 기름을 넣어주다 보니깐 처음에 내렸던 단가로 계약했다가 유가가 또 올라버리면 우리는 마이너스를 보면서 공사를 해야 되는 실정입니다.

설상가상 기름값을 억눌렀던 유류세 인하 조치도
이달 말 종료될 예정입니다.

현행 휘발유와 경유엔
각각 25%, 37%의 유류세 인하가 적용되고 있습니다.

정부가 최근 유가 상승에
유류세 인하 연장을 고심하고 있지만
세수 감소로 이마저도 여의치 않습니다.

이로 인해
유류세 인하를 단계적으로 정상화하는 방안을
검토하고 있는 것으로 알려져
최종 결정에 이목이 집중되고 있습니다.
