Jeju City's western public health center will conduct a crackdown on illegal cultivation of poppy and marijuana until July, timed with the flowering and harvesting seasons of the plants.


As a result, the authorities will monitor and crack down on illegal cultivation practices that take place in concealed areas such as fields within villages, backyards, gardens, and small plots of land.

According to relevant laws, those who sow and smuggle marijuana and poppy for drug use may face up to five years in prison or a fine of up to 50 million won.

오는 7월까지 대마와 양귀비 불법 재배 행위를 집중 단속합니다.

이에 따라 마을 내 경작지와
집 뒷마당이나 화단, 텃밭, 정원 등
은폐된 장소에서
몰래 재배하는 행위에 대한 단속에 나섭니다.

마약용 양귀비와 대마를 파종하거나 밀매하는 경우
관련 법률에 따라
5년 이하 징역 또는 5천만 원 이하 벌금이 부과됩니다.
