Jeju City will operate a service to help taxpayers receive their local tax refunds until July of this year.

According to Jeju City, as of this month, there are over 6,700 cases of unpaid local tax refunds totaling 460 million won, of which 85% are less than 50,000 won.

280 million won was due to legal revisions and 190 million won was found to be due to acquisition tax refunds following the revision of the special tax exemption law.

Jeju City plans to actively refund taxpayers by sending out notification letters and verifying their refund account information.

지방세 환급금 찾아주기 서비스를 운영합니다.

제주시에 따르면 이달 현재 지방세 미환급금은
6천700여 건에 4억 6천만 원으로
이 가운데 85%가 5만 원 미만입니다.

발생 원인별로는
법령개정 2억 8천만 원,
지방세 특례제한법 개정에 따른 취득세 환급 1억 9천만 원 등으로 나타났습니다.

제주시는 환급 대상자에게 안내문 발송과
환급계좌등록 확인 등을 통해
적극적으로 환급할 예정입니다.
