From now on, vehicles turning right must come to a complete stop at pedestrian crosswalks.

According to the revised Road Traffic Act, vehicles turning right must come to a complete halt at the pedestrian crosswalk when the signal light ahead is red.

When entering the right-turning section, the vehicle must also come to a complete stop and if there are pedestrians, it must stop regardless of the pedestrian signal.

For violations, KRW 60,000 will be imposed.

The Jeju Provincial Police Agency plans to focus on training along with enforcement to promote the changed system.



우회전 차량 우선 정지…과태료 부과

이제 우회전 차량은 횡단보도에서 무조건 일시 정지해야 합니다.

개정된 도로교통법에 따라 우회전 차량은 전방 신호등이 빨간불일때 횡단보도 앞에서 무조건 정차해야 합니다.


우회전 구간에 진입했을 때에도
우선 정차해야 하며 보행자가 있을 경우에는 보행신호등과 무관하게 멈춰야 합니다.

위반시에는 승용차를 기준으로
과태료 6만원이 부과됩니다.
