Out of 10 Jeju residents, 6 have expressed support for the need for administrative reform.

A research team has been working to promote public discourse on the introduction of a Jeju-style administrative system, and has held a first interim report meeting at the Tamna Hall of Jeju Provincial Office.

According to a survey done by residents and public officials, 61.4% of residents and 58.9% of public officials expressed support for the need for administrative reform.

In addition, 74.3% of residents and 69.2% of public officials are in favor in terms of reducing the authoritative power of the governor.

Jeju plans to select 300 resident participants by the 7th and begin full-scale public discourse work with self-deliberation and deliberative meetings until October.

또 도지사 권한 집중 문제와 관련해서도
도민들은 74.3%, 공무원은 69.2%가 동의한다고 응답했습니다.

제주도는 오는 7일까지 도민 참여단 3백명을 선정하고 10월까지 자가 숙의와 숙의 토론회 등
본격적인 도민 공론화 작업에 착수할 계획입니다.
