Jeju Island will carry out special crackdowns on illegal forestry activities, as there have been successive cases of damage to the native vegetation for the purpose of creating grazing land and illegal acts aimed at raising land prices.

As part of this effort, a crackdown team will be organized by the local police, the Hallasan National Park, and the administrative city, and high-resolution drones will be used to monitor any illegal activity.

The main areas of crackdown will include illegal collection of forest products, illegal land-use changes, such as the opening of unauthorized roads, and illegal logging.

The Island has stated that if violations are discovered, it plans to take judicial action including criminal prosecution.



산림 내 불법행위 특별 단속…"엄정 대응"

제주도가 최근 초지 조성을 위한 곶자왈 훼손과 지가 상승을 노린 불법 행위가 잇따르면서 산림 불법행위에 대한 특별 단속을 실시합니다.



이에따라 자치경찰과 한라산국립공원,
행정시를 중심으로 단속반을 편성하고 고해상도 드론을 활용한 항공사진 촬영을 통해
각종 불법 행위를 정밀하게 감시할 계획입니다.

주요 단속사항은
불법 임산물 채취나 불법 산지전용 행위,
불법 진입로 개설 등 산림 형질 변경,
무단 벌채 등 입니다.

형사입건 등 사법 조치할 방침입니다.
