Due to a decrease in tax revenue this year, the first supplementary budget for the Jeju Education Office increased by KRW 8 billion, reaching a total of KRW 1.6015 trillion, which is KRW 80 billion higher than the originally planned budget of KRW 1.5935 trillion.

The budget includes funding for various projects, including care classrooms and the establishment of integrated care centers, which aim to provide tailored educational welfare support to students. It also includes the development of a digital teaching and learning environment, opportunities for students to study abroad, and the improvement of school meal services.

The first supplementary budget represents a 0.5% increase compared to the original budget. The Jeju Education Office plans to tighten the budget due to the decrease in tax revenue, which was caused by the implementation of the Special Act on Support for Education and Lifelong Learning, leading to a reduction in the usual government subsidies.




도교육청, 세수 감소에 1차 추경 0.5% 소폭 증액


올해 세수 감소로 제주도교육청 1차 추경이 80억원 증액된 수준에 그쳤습니다.
제주도교육청은 당초 예산 1조 5천935억원보다 80억원 늘어난 1조6천15억원 규모의 제1회 추경안을 편성해 제주도의회에 제출했습니다.

주요 사업으로는 돌봄교실 운영과 거점통합돌봄센터 구축 등
학생맞춤형 교육복지 지원 사업과
디지털교수 학습 기반 조성과 학생 해외 연수,
학교 급식 환경 개선 사업 등에 예산을 늘렸습니다.

1차 추경안은 본예산과 비교하면
0.5% 증액된 수준으로
제주도교육청은
고등·평생교육지원특별회계법 시행으로
보통교부금 재원이 감소하는 등 세수가 줄면서
긴축예산을 편성했다고 설명했습니다.
