Arrests on Sexual Exploitation of Minors


Police arrest a man in his 20s after he opens the front door of his house.
The suspect was taken into custody on the charge of producing sexual exploitation materials involving minors from the end of last year until last month.

A total of 11 people have been arrested on suspicion of distributing and selling sexual exploitation materials involving minors, which were either directly filmed in public places or illegally downloaded from the internet.

The photos and videos were sold on online platforms such as Telegram.
The suspects avoided detection by the authorities by using payment methods such as gift cards, rather than bank transfers, for their transactions.

One suspect produced and uploaded over a hundred sexual exploitation materials that involved numerous victims who are minors.
Even after the 'Nth room' case, sexual exploitation crimes involving minors continue to appear on social media platforms.

I thought there wouldn't be that many sexual exploitation materials, but I was surprised when we seized so many during the investigation. I was shocked by the bizarre photos and videos.
It was a difficult crime to investigate because it involved transactions between individuals, and it was also challenging to obtain evidence as it was hard to restore conversations during the transactions.

It was reported that three of the suspects lured three of the minors, including a disabled teenager, by offering cigarettes or pocket money and engaged in sexual acts with them, filming these acts and keeping the materials.

The police have filed charges against the 11 suspects for violating laws related to the protection of children and youth from sexual exploitation.
Of those who were arrested, three individuals, including a man in his 20s who engaged in sexual acts with minors, have been detained.
The police plan to expand their investigation, including strengthening account tracing and monitoring, as they believe that similar crimes are ongoing.




'n번방' 유사…청소년 성착취물 '무더기 검거'

텔레그램 같은 온라인 상에서 판매됐습니다.
계좌 이체가 아닌 상품권 등으로 거래하면서 수사망을 피했습니다.

피의자 한명이 많게는 백개 가 넘는
착취물을 제작해 올리기도 했고
불특정 다수의 청소년들이 피해를 입었습니다.

n 번방 사건 이후에도
SNS 상에서 청소년 성착취물 범죄는 근절되지 않고 있습니다.

성착취물이 그렇게 많지는 않을 거라 생각했는데 수사하면서 압수물을 보니까 많이 놀랐습니다. 엽기적인 사진이나 영상이 많아서 당황스러웠습니다. 개인대 개인으로 이뤄진 범죄이기 때문에 수사하는데 많이 어려웠고 증거자료 확보에도 거래 당시 대화를 복원하는데 어려움이 있었습니다.


특히 피의자 3명은
담배나 용돈을 주겠다고 유인해
장애 학생을 포함한 청소년 3명과
성관계를 맺고
영상을 촬영해 소지하기도 했습니다.

경찰은 검거된 11명을
아동 청소년 성보호에 관한 법률 위반 등의 혐의로 입건 하고
이 가운데
청소년과 성관계를 맺은 20대 남성 등 3명을 구속했습니다.

경찰은 온라인 상에서 유사 범죄가 있을 것으로 보고
계좌 추적과 모니터링을 강화하는 등 수사를 확대할 방침입니다.
