Dining-Out Prices Soar

Recently, as the number of people looking for lunch boxes has increased significantly, the amount of inventory has also gone up.

As the soaring prices have made it difficult for people to eat out for lunch, relatively inexpensive convenience store lunch boxes have become popular.

Since the prices have gone up so much, eating out at restaurants becomes a burden, so I eat lunch at convenience stores.


Last month, dining-out prices in Jeju showed the highest growth rate in the country, rising by 8.2 percent.
Moreover, they have continued to rise at a rate of 8 percent or higher for three consecutive months, showing a steady increase.


The prices of major dining-out menus have also skyrocketed.

A bowl of noodle soup has become nearly 10,000 won and has been found to be the most expensive in the country.

The prices of a serving of Kimchi stew with side dishes, and a serving of roasted pork belly have also soared over 12 months, setting a record for the highest price nationwide.


In May, which is a family month that involves frequent dining-out, the burden on the finances of ordinary households is increasing even more.

Since the prices have gone up significantly, it's a bit of a burden to eat out with family, so it seems that instead of dining out, we will likely spend time at home making food together with family.


Last month, the consumer price index in Jeju rose by 3.2 percent compared to the same month last year, showing a slowdown in the rate of increase.

However, dining-out prices continue to rise without showing signs of slowing down.

Furthermore, with the prospect of electricity and gas prices being raised, there are predictions that dining-out prices could rise even further in the future.



"밥 사먹기 겁나"…가정의 달 외식도 '부담'


제주시내 한 편의점.

점심시간이 다가오면서
도시락을 고르는 손님들이 눈에 띕니다.

최근 들어 도시락을 찾는 사람들이 부쩍 많아지면서
입고량도 늘었습니다.

치솟는 물가로 점심을 사먹기가 부담스러워지면서
상대적으로 저렴한 편의점 도시락이 인기를 끌고 있는 겁니다.

물가가 너무 많이 올라서 식당에서 먹기는 부담스러워서 주로 편의점에서 끼니를 때우고 있습니다.


지난달 제주지역 외식물가는
8.2% 오르며 전국 최고 수준의 상승률을 보였습니다.

또 3개월 연속 8%대의 오름폭을 기록하며
고공행진을 이어가고 있습니다.

실제 주요 외식 메뉴 가격도 급등했습니다.

칼국수 한 그릇은 만원에 육박하면서
전국에서 가장 비싼 것으로 나타났습니다.

김치찌개 백반과 삼겹살 가격도
1년 사이 껑충 뛰며 전국 최고가를 기록하고 있습니다.

외식이 잦은 가정의 달에 들어서면서
서민경제 부담은 더욱 커지고 있습니다.

물가가 많이 올라서 밖에서 가족들이랑 외식하기에 살짝 부담이 되고, 외식을 하기보다는 집에서 그냥 가족끼리 음식을 만들다든지 해서 그렇게 보낼 것 같습니다.


지난달 도내 소비자물가는
전년 동월 대비 3.2% 오르며
상승폭이 한층 둔화됐지만
외식물가는 꺾일 줄 모르고 있습니다.

설상가상 전기와 가스요금이
인상될 조짐을 보이면서
향후 외식물가가 더 오를 수 있다는
전망이 나오고 있습니다.
