A survey has found that approximately 8 out of 10 students attending Jeju National University have received private education during their high school years.

Jeju National University conducted a survey on the influence of private education among 304 freshmen for the academic year of February 2022. The results showed that 81% of the respondents had experienced private education during their high school years.

The most common reason cited for the need of private education was improving academic grades, followed by improving scores on the national college entrance exam.

Approximately 50.8% of the respondents stated that private education has a significant impact on college admissions, while only 16% believed that it has minimal impact.

응답자의 81%가 고등학교 재학 당시 사교육을 경험했다고 답했습니다.

사교육이 필요하다고 생각하는 이유로는
교과 성적 향상이 가장 많았고,
수능 성적 향상이 뒤를 이었습니다.

응답자의 절반인 50.8%가
사교육이 대입에 영향이 크다고 답했고
영향이 적다는 응답은 16%에 그쳤습니다.
