Starting from the 28th, as the implementation of using legal age approaches, the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province has begun preparations for the enactment of ordinances and regulations.

Accordingly, they are announcing a batch of 31 draft amendments, including the Jeju Youth Basic Ordinance, by scrapping the ‘Korean age’ from various age regulations.

Unless there are specific provisions in the Basic Administrative Law and Civil Law, all ages will represent one’s legal age without the use of the term ‘legal age.’

Jeju Province plans to submit these amendments to the Provincial Council, which will commence on the 13th, after going through the deliberation process of the Ordinance Rule Review Committee.



'만 나이' 시행 앞두고 각종 조례 정비 추진

오는 28일부터 만 나이 시행을 앞두고
제주특별자치도도
조례 정비 등 도입 준비에 나섰습니다.

이에따라 각종 나이 규정에서 '만' 표시를 삭제하는 방식으로 제주도 청년기본조례 등
31개 조례 개정안을 일괄 입법예고하고 있습니다.

행정기본법과 민법 상 특별한 규정이 없으면
'만' 표시를 하지 않아도
만 나이를 의미하기 때문입니다.

제주도는 조례규칙심의회 심의를 거쳐
오는 13일부터 시작되는
제418회 도의회에 제출할 예정입니다.
