A large number of habitual delinquent vehicles have been detected at Jeju Airport and Jeju Port.

On the 31st of last month, Jeju Province, with the administrative office and local police, conducted a crackdown on vehicles that have not paid taxes and fines in densely populated areas such as the airport and port. As a result, 59 vehicles were caught.

Among them, license plates will be confiscated for vehicles that have been delinquent for three or more times, or have accumulated fines exceeding 300,000 won. For vehicle owners who have simply not made payments or used them for livelihood purposes, a warning and arrange for installment payments will be issued.

The province will also operate a confiscation unit for non-payment vehicles and take measures such as forced auctioning for vehicles seized due to long-term non-payment.




공·항만서 상습 체납 차량 무더기 적발…단속 강화

제주공항과 제주항에서 상습 체납 차량이 무더기 적발됐습니다.

제주도가 지난달 31일 행정시와 자치경찰과 합동으로
공항만 등 차량 밀집 지역에서
차동차세와 과태료 체납 차량에 대한 단속을 실시한 결과
59대를 적발했습니다.

이 가운데 3회 이상 체납하거나
과태료 30만 원 이상 체납한 차량에 대해 번호판을 영치하고
단순 체납이거나 생계형 차량은
영치 예고와 함께 분할 납부를 독려했습니다.

제주도는
체납 차량 영치반을 상시 운영하고
장기 체납으로 압류된 차량은
강제 매각 등 조치할 방침입니다 .
