Jeju Air has introduced and operates lift cars to assist the boarding of passengers with mobility issues, including wheelchair users.

While Jeju Air currently provides wheelchair assistance services, concerns about safety issues such as unavoidable physical contact and accidents caused by instrument handling have led them to adopt lift cars.

The lift car service is initially being implemented on routes departing from Gimpo Airport, and it is scheduled to expand to Jeju-bound routes later this month.

휠체어 이용 승객 등 교통약자의 항공기 탑승을 돕기 위한
리프트카를 도입해 운영합니다.

제주항공은
현재 휠체어 이동 서비스를 운영하고 있지만
불가피한 신체 접촉과 악기상으로 인한 낙상사고 등의
안전 문제가 우려됨에 따라
리프트카를 도입하게 됐다고 설명했습니다.

리프트카 서비스는 김포발 노선에서 우선 시행되고 있으며
이달 중 제주발 노선까지 확대될 예정입니다.
