The employment rate in the first quarter of this year has decreased compared to the previous year.

According to a survey conducted by the Jeju Regional Human Resources Development Committee, the employment rate in the first quarter of this year was 67.8%, a 0.9% decrease compared to the same period last year.

The committee analyzed that the decrease in employment in the agricultural and construction sectors influenced the decline in the employment rate in the first quarter.

On the other hand, the youth employment rate increased by 2.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching 47.5%.
