Second Hottest Spring on Record

It has been confirmed that the average temperature in the Jeju region this spring was the second highest on record.

According to climate analysis results released by the Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration for the spring of 2023, the average temperature in the Jeju region from March to May was 15.3 degrees Celsius, which is 1.3 degrees higher than the average year.

Following the record of 15.5 degrees Celsius in 2021, which was the hottest ever on record, it achieved the second-highest temperature.

The Meteorological Administration analyzed the frequent occurrence of warm south winds due to the influence of the mobile high-pressure system as one of the main causes.
