The Jeju Provincial Police Agency reported that during the concentrated crackdown on drug crimes from March to May, there was a 34% increase compared to the previous year, with 43 individuals arrested and 7 individuals detained.

The number of drug suppliers involved in smuggling and selling drugs has risen to 20, nearly seven times higher than the previous year. Furthermore, the amount of Philophon seized has increased by 4.5 times compared to the previous year.

In response to this situation, the Jeju Provincial Police Agency plans to strengthen crime control and prevention activities by operating a joint task force consisting of over 60 investigators.
