According to the province, a man in his 30s developed symptoms such as fever and chills after working outdoors. On the 14th of last month, he tested positive for SFTS and is currently receiving treatment.

Health authorities believe that the patient was infected with SFTS through a tick bite while working in the mountains.

Jeju Island is urging residents to adhere to preventive measures such as wearing long-sleeved clothing during outdoor activities. If symptoms such as high fever occur within two weeks after outdoor activities, it is advised to seek immediate medical attention.

SFTS에 감염된 것으로 보고 있습니다.

제주도는 야외활동 시 긴옷 착용하는 등 예방수칙을 준수하고 야외활동 후 2주 안에
고열 등의 증상이 나타나면
즉시 의료기관을 찾아
진료받을 것을 당부했습니다.
