Jeju City will enforce the revocation of vehicles that have been uninsured for over a year, starting from next month.

Previously, penalties were limited to fines for non-compliant vehicles, but under the revised implementation of the Automobile Management Act, direct revocation is now possible.

Jeju City emphasizes the importance of insurance coverage for uninsured vehicles due to the uncertainty of liability for damages in the event of a traffic accident and strongly advises all vehicle owners to comply with mandatory insurance requirements.




내달부터 의무보험 미가입 차량 직권 말소

제주시가
다음달부터 의무보험 가입을 하지 않고
1년 이상 경과한 차량에 대해 직권말소 처분합니다.

기존 미가입자의 경우 과태료 부과만 가능했지만
다음달부터 개정된
자동차관리법 시행에 따라
직권말소가 가능해졌습니다.

제주시는
의무보험 미가입 차량의 경우
교통사고 발생에 따른 손해배상 여부가 불투명해
또 다른 피해가 우려되는 만큼 보험 가입을 당부했습니다.
