Jeju City will be conducting facility safety management and meal hygiene inspections until August 18th in order to prevent infectious diseases and food poisoning accidents in daycare centers.

The inspections will focus on 178 out of the 312 daycare centers in Jeju City, with an emphasis on the management of infectious diseases such as hand, foot, and mouth disease, cholera, hygiene conditions and school bus safety management.

In the previous year, Jeju City conducted inspections on 179 daycare centers, resulting in 157 administrative guidance cases and one corrective order.
