A specialized value creation center called ‘(가치만드소) Gachi Mandeso’ has opened in the Ara-il-dong area of Jeju City, aiming to expand social participation and promote economic independence among local developmentally disabled individuals.

With an investment of 2.8 billion won, the facility is equipped with educational and childcare rooms, as well as a smart farm for cultivating shiitake mushrooms.

Jeju looks forward to this facility not only contributing to the economic self-reliance of developmentally disabled individuals but also alleviating the burden of caregiving.

도내 발달장애인의 사회 참여를 확대하고
경제적 자립을 돕기 위한
특화사업장, '가치만드소'가
제주시 아라일동 일대에서 개소했습니다.

사업비로 28억원이 투입된 이 시설에는
교육실과 보육실,
표고버섯 재배 스마트팜 등의 시설이 구축됐습니다.

이 곳을 통해
발달장애인들의 경제적 자립 뿐 아니라
돌봄 부담도 줄어들 것으로 제주도는 기대하고 있습니다.
