Guesthouse Owner Imprisoned for Secretive Filming

A 31-year-old guesthouse owner in Jeju, Mr. A, has been found guilty by the Jeju District Court, Criminal Division 2, for installing hidden cameras without guests' knowledge and recording two individuals undressed in February.

The defendant has been prohibited from working in facilities catering to children and adolescents for a duration of three years. Additionally, he has been mandated to participate in a 40-hour sexual crime prevention program.

In justifying the sentence, the judge highlighted the victims' unforgiving stance and underscored the defendant's substantial culpability as a lodging establishment manager entrusted with ensuring safety.
