Illegal Accommodation…15 Cases in Jeju City

A significant number of unregistered accommodation establishments have been discovered.

After conducting a comprehensive operation over the past two months, Jeju City has uncovered and reported 15 establishments operating accommodations without proper registration. Criminal complaints have been filed against the operators involved.

During on-site inspections, it was revealed that these unregistered establishments provided amenities such as bedding, towels, and hygiene products to their guests.

The crackdown was launched following tips and monitoring of shared accommodation platforms, with a focus on a total of 129 establishments.

To address the issue more comprehensively, Jeju City intends to extend the joint crackdown for an additional two months, until September 14th.

무더기 적발됐습니다.

제주시는 지난 두달간
미신고 불법 숙박 영업행위에 대한
집중단속을 실시해 15곳을 적발하고 업주들을 형사고발 했다고
밝혔습니다.

현장 점검결과
적발된 곳은 숙박업소가 아닌데도
투숙객들에게 침구류와 수건, 위생용품 등의
서비스를 제공한 사실이 확인됐습니다.

이번 단속은 제보와 공유숙박 플랫폼 모니터링을 토대로
129개소를 대상으로 이뤄졌습니다.

제주시는 집중 합동단속 기간을 2개월 더 연장해
오는 9월 14일까지 실시한다는 계획입니다.
