As the prolonged heat wave continues, the number of heat-related illness patients is increasing.
 
On the 1st day of the, six suspected patients were urgently transferred, including a person in their 40s who showed symptoms of paralysis while performing pesticide work in (성산읍) Seongsan-eup.
 
During the past month, Jeju experienced a significant increase in heat-related illnesses, with a total of 30 reported cases. Out of those cases, 18 individuals required hospital treatment.

The fire department is enhancing its response by equipping rescue vehicles with heat illness supplies such as ice vests and ice packs and dispatching two rescue vehicles simultaneously.
 


연일 이어지는 폭염에 온열질환자 속출

연일 폭염이 기승을 부리면서
온열질환자도 급증하고 있습니다.

지난 1일 성산읍에서 농약 작업을 하던 40대가
전신 마비 증상을 보이는 등
1일 하루 동안 의심환자 6명이 긴급 이송됐습니다.

특히 지난 달에만 제주에서 온열질환자 30명이 발생해
이 가운데 18명이 병원 치료를 받기도 했습니다.

소방본부는
구급차에 얼음조끼와 얼음팩 같은
폭염질환 구급장비를 상시 비치하고
구급차 2대를 동시 출동시키며 대응을 강화하고 있습니다.
