Around 4 p.m. on the 1st day, a Blue Ringed Octopus was found at sea near (코난) Conan Beach in Gujwa-eup, Jeju City.

The Blue Ringed Octopus was 5 cm in length and width and was collected on-site by the National Fisheries Science Institute.

The coast guard urged immediate reporting in case of discovery, as the Blue Ringed Octopus has more than ten times the toxicity of the cyanide, and its sting can cause paralysis or difficulty breathing.




코난해변 인근 해상서 맹독성 파란고리문어 발견

지난1일 오후 4시쯤
제주시 구좌읍 코난해변 인근 해상에서
맹독성 파란고리문어가 발견됐습니다.

발견된 문어는
가로 세로 각각 5cm 길이로
국립수산과학원에서 현장을 방문해
이를 수거했습니다.

해경은
파란고리문어가 청산가리보다
10배 이상 강한 독성을 지녀
물리거나 쏘이면 신체 마비나 호흡 곤란 등이
나타날 수 있는 만큼
발견 즉시 신고해 줄 것을 당부했습니다.
