With a string of crop damages caused by Typhoon Khanun, the process for reporting damages is set to begin this week.

Commencing this week, Jeju Island will be accepting reports of crop damages resulting from typhoon Khanun, through administration offices for the next ten days.

Once the reported crop damages are assessed on-site, disaster relief funds will be allocated accordingly.

Furthermore, the preliminary effects of the typhoon have led to the submergence and wind-related damage of crops, spanning approximately 158 hectares. The areas most significantly impacted are concentrated in the eastern regions, specifically in locations such as (구좌읍) Gujwa-eup, affecting crops like carrots and beans.

제주도는 이번 주부터 열흘동안 읍면동사무소를 통해 농작물 태풍 피해 신고를 접수할 계획입니다.

접수된 피해 농작물에 대해서는
현장 확인을 거쳐 재난 지원금이 지급될 방침입니다.

한편, 현재까지
이번 태풍으로 구좌읍 등 동부지역을 중심으로
당근과 콩 등 158ha에서 침수와 조풍 피해가 발생한 것으로 잠정 집계되고 있습니다.
