Jeju Special Self-Governing Province is stepping up its efforts to address foreign tax defaulters who have previously eluded detection.

Jeju is intensifying its pursuit of unpaid taxes from foreign individuals, conducting comprehensive investigations into their assets and incomes, and seizing funds when necessary.

Notably, travel bans will be imposed on those with outstanding tax debts exceeding 30 million KRW, and individuals owing over 10 million KRW will have their names publicly disclosed.

At present, there are 3,880 foreign nationals in Jeju who have not fulfilled their tax obligations. The total outstanding amount adds up to 1.12 billion KRW. Among those individuals, 230 owe more than 1 million KRW each. Remarkably, these individuals alone contribute to 73% of the entire outstanding amount.

명단을 공개한다는 방침입니다.

현재 제주지역 외국인 체납자는
3천 880명으로
체납액은
11억 2천만원에 이르고 있으며,
100만원 이상 고액 체납자도 230명으로
전체 금액의 73%를 차지하고 있습니다.
