As of the 31st, the government will transition the COVID-19 infection level from Level 2 to Level 4, equivalent to the flu.

Consequently, the tracking and recording of confirmed cases, which have been in progress for the last 3 years and 7 months,
will be temporarily halted and shifts the policy focus to protecting high-risk groups.


Even after this change, the crisis level will stay at 'caution' for now, and mandatory mask-wearing in hospitals and vulnerable facilities for high-risk individuals, including the elderly and immunocompromised, will remain in place.

정부가 오는 31일부터
코로나19의 감염병 등급을
현재 2급에서 인플루엔자와 같은 4급으로 하향 전환합니다.

이에따라 3년 7개월동안 지속된 확진자 신고와 집계가 중단되며
고위험군 보호 중심으로 정책을 전환하게 됩니다.

4급 전환 이후에도
위기단계는 '경계'상태를 당분간 유지하고
고령자와 면역저하자 같은
고위험군 보호를 위해
병원급 의료기관과 입소형 감염취약시설에서의 마스크 착용 의무는 그대로 유지됩니다.
