Chuseok: Jeju Tickets in Short Supply

From the day before the Chuseok holiday, September 27th, until Chuseok day on the 29th, all flight tickets from Gimpo to Jeju have been sold out.
On the day after Chuseok, the 30th, there are some seats, but due to high demand, prices range from 110,000 won up to 180,000 won.
A month before the Chuseok holiday, flight tickets have become scarce due to an increase in demand from both travelers returning home and tourists.
Additionally, as the government considers designating October 2nd, a weekday between the Chuseok holiday and National Foundation Day, as a temporary holiday, obtaining flight tickets to Jeju has become even more difficult.
Expectations for deploying temporary flights are not as high as in previous years.
Major airlines are planning to increase capacity, but low-cost airlines have already deployed a large number of aircraft on profitable international routes, leaving no room for temporary flights.
