After ten years, rewarding individuals for reporting drunk driving cases is being reintroduced.

The Jeju Provincial Police Agency has declared that the trial period for the reward system will occur from the 11th of the month until December 31st.

The reporting is limited to cases of simple drunk driving, and each individual is restricted to making up to five reports annually.

The reward amount will vary based on enforcement actions, from suspension worth an award of 30,000 won, and cancellation worth an award of 50,000 won.

In response to drunk driving reports, the Police Agency and local police units will collaborate, operating during daytime working hours only.

음주운전 신고포상제를 시범 시행한다고 밝혔습니다.

신고 유형은
단순 음주운전에만 한정되며
신고 횟수도 1인당 연간 5회로 제한됩니다.

신고 포상금은
단속 수치에 따라
정지는 3만원, 취소는 5만 원입니다.

음주운전 신고 출동은
제주경찰청과 자치경찰단이 공조하며
자치경찰은 주간업무시간에만 활동할 예정입니다.
