Height restrictions on historic sites within Jeju Island will be relieved to some extent.

Jeju World Heritage Center announced this arbitration proposal on the 6th through an administrative notice.

Six sites are being considered for adjustments, including Jeju (삼성혈) Samseonghyeol, Jeju-mok Government Office, (항파두리) Hangpaduri, (고산리) Gosanriyujeok, (삼양동) Samyangdong remains, and Seogwipo’s (김정희) Kim Jung-hee Exile Site.

In the case of (삼성혈) Samseonghyeol and Jeju-Mok Government Office, height restrictions, including roof heights, within a 100m to 200m radius of the historical sites, have been eased in line with urban planning regulations.

Jeju Island plans to gather public input until the 25th and will then finalize the announcement following deliberation by the Cultural Heritage Administration

이같은 내용을 담은 조정안을 지난 6일 행정 예고했습니다.

조정 대상은
제주 삼성혈과 제주목 관아,
항파두리, 고산리 유적, 삼양동 유적,
서귀포 김정희 유배지 등 모두 6곳입니다.

주요 내용을 보면
삼성혈과 제주목 관아의 경우
유적지로부터
반경 100m에서 200m 지역은
지붕 높이 등
고도 제한 설정이
도시계획조례에 따르도록 완화됐습니다.

제주도는 오는 25일까지
도민 의견 수렴을 받고
문화재청 심의를 거쳐 최종 고시할 예정입니다.
