Jeju Island has initiated price management measures in anticipation of the upcoming Chuseok holiday season.
The province has declared a special action period until the 3rd of the next month to boost supply, which includes ramping up the production of Jeju pork and Hanwoo beef.
Additionally, there are plans to establish a price management inspection team and broaden the coverage of the basket price survey.
While the average price of Chuseok gifts for individuals in their 20s was 3.4% lower than the previous year as of the end of last month, it is expected to increase due to the growing demand for Chuseok.

제주도가 물가 관리에 들어갔습니다.

제주산 돼지고기와
한우 도축 물량 확대 등
성수품 공급을 확대하기로 했습니다.

또 물가 관리 점검반을 운영해
장바구니 물가 조사도 확대할 계획입니다.

한편, 지난달 말 기준으로 20대 추석 성수품 평균 가격은
전년 대비 3.4% 낮은 것으로 파악되고 있지만
추석 수요가 늘면서
오를 것으로 예상되고 있습니다.
