The province has decided to increase the minimum wage in Jeju to 11,423 won per hour, which represents a 3.14% increase.

When calculated on a monthly basis, this amounts to 2,387,407 won.

Furthermore, it is approximately 1,500 won higher than the government's minimum wage for next year, which is 9,860 won.

The living wage applies to various sectors, including the public sector, government-funded institutions, private contractors, government-supported workers, labor supported by national funds, and workers involved in public procurement and subcontracting.

This newly determined living wage will be officially announced by the governor later this month and will take effect on January 1st of next year.

제주특별자치도가
내년 생활임금으로 시간당 1만 1,423원으로 결정했습니다.

올해 생활임금액보다 3.14% 인상된 것이며
월 급여로 환산하면
238만 7천 407원입니다.

또한 정부의 내년 최저임금인 9천 860원보다
1천 500원 가량 높은 수준입니다.

생활임금제 적용대상은
공공부문과
출자출연기관,
민간위탁,
공공근로, 국비 지원 근로자,
공공발주 공사나 용역, 하도급 근로자 등입니다.

이번에 결정한 생활임금은
이달 중 도지사가 고시하고 내년 1월 1일부터 적용됩니다.
