The demand-responsive bus service, similar to a taxi, is expected to commence operation as early as the 27th of this month, allowing users to summon buses according to demand.

Jeju recently received one bidding application from a company through a re-announcement of a public tender and is currently undergoing the final review stages of the evaluation.

If the selected company is confirmed next week, the demand-responsive bus service will commence its pilot operation in (수산리) Suwonsan-ri, (애월읍) Aewol-eup, and (태흥리) Taehung-ri, and (남원읍) Namwon-eup from the 27th for a period of six months.
The Province is concurrently preparing for the operation of the demand-responsive bus service, including bus stops, a call center, and public promotion.
