Jeju City announced a voluntary pet registration self-reporting period until the 30th to promote responsible pet ownership and prevent strays.

Dogs aged 2 months or older kept as pets require registration, and owners must report changes in ownership, address, or for any lost or deceased pets.

Registering within the voluntary self-reporting period exempts owners from fines.

Jeju City will begin rigorous inspections the month after the self-
reporting period concludes.



반려동물 등록 자진신고 오는 30일까지 운영


제주시가 성숙한 반려동물 문화 정착과 유기 예방을 위해
오는 30일까지 동물등록 자진신고 기간을 운영한다고 밝혔습니다.

등록 대상은 반려 목적으로 기르는 2개월령 이상인 개로
소유자가 변경됐거나 주소지를 옮겼을 경우,
동물이 죽거나 잃어버린 경우도 변경신고를 해야 합니다.

기존에 등록을 하지 않았거나 변경신고를 않았더라도
자진신고 기간 내에 등록하면 과태료를 면제받을 수 있습니다.

제주시는 자진신고 기간이 끝나는 다음달부터
집중 단속을 실시할 예정입니다.
