A large number of laptops handed out to new middle school students this year suffered mainly from screen damage.

(김광수) Kim Kwang-soo, the superintendent of education, announced today that 75% of laptop damage among new middle school students this year was screen-related.

To address the issue, protective cases will be provided, and laptop tracking will be improved.

Additionally, cost reduction measures for laptop repairs will be implemented targeting low-income families.

올해부터 중학교 신입생에게 제공된 노트북 파손 대부분이 액정 파손으로 조사됐습니다.

김광수 교육감은 오늘 교육행정질문에서
드림노트북 지원에 따른 문제점 개선 방안을 발표하면서 노트북 활용과정에서 발생한 파손의 약 75%가 액정파손으로 나타났다고 밝혔습니다.

그러면서 액정 파손을 줄이기 위해
노트북 보호케이스를 제공하고 노트북 위치 추적 기능도 강화해 분실에 대비할 방침이라고 덧붙였습니다.

이 밖에도 저소득층의 노트북 수리 부담을 줄이기 위한 방안도 추진하겠다고 밝혔습니다
