Gapado will launch a drone delivery service. Gaepo Island is set to launch a drone delivery service as part of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport's drone pilot city project.

A 600 million KRW investment will drive the service until November.

The drone deliveries will follow established flight paths, dropping packages into collection nets at a height of 2-3 meters above ground.

To support the trial, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety has assigned addresses, including GPS coordinates, to Gapado Island and designated 14 drone delivery points

드론으로 택배를 배송하는 서비스가 가파도에서 시범 운영됩니다.

드론 택배 서비스는 국토부의 드론 실증도시 사업의 일환으로 6억 원의 사업비가 투입돼 오는 11월까지 추진됩니다.

드론 택배는 사전에 구축된 비행로를 따라 비행해 집 마당 2~3m 상공에서 택배물을 수취망에 낙하시키는 방식으로 운영됩니다.

앞서 행안부는 시범 사업을 위해 가파도에 GPS 좌표를 포함한 주소 체계를 부여하고 드론 배달점 14곳을 지정했습니다.
