Teachers' Union Welcome Passes of 4 Bills

Teacher organizations have expressed their support for approving four bills to enhance the safeguarding of educational rights, which have been prioritized in the National Assembly.
The Jeju Branch of the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union highlighted that the bills, including mandatory superintendent opinions on child abuse cases, resulted from appeals by 500,000 teachers.
Despite this progress, the union expressed disappointment that the child abuse-related amendment did not pass, underscoring the need for further dialogue on this matter.

전국교직원노동조합 제주지부(Jeju Branch of the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union) 는 성명을 통해 아동학대 사안에 대한 교육감 의견제출 의무화 등을 포함해 이번에 통과된 4개의 법안은 50만 교사들이 교육활동 보호를 위한 호소의 결과였다고 강조했습니다.

하지만 아동학대 관련 개정안은 이번에 통과하지 못하는 등
아쉬움이 크다며 이에 대한 후속 논의가 필요하다고 덧붙였습니다.
