The Jeju Municipal Police Bureau recently conducted a widespread operation targeting restaurants that violated labeling of the origin on products.

In the crackdown, 10 restaurants were caught, including four famous and two top-ranked delivery app restaurants, one shared kitchen, and three general eateries.

Surprisingly, many of these establishments, including popular and highly-ranked restaurants, were caught using foreign ingredients despite their claims.

In addition, they also used expired sauces and falsely advertised imported squid as domestic in Hairtail dishes.



원산지 표시 위반 유명 음식점 잇따라 적발


제주도 자치경찰단이 원산지 표시를 위반한 음식점을 무더기로 적발했습니다.

이번에 적발된 음식점은 모두 10곳으로
누리소통망 유명음식점 4개소를 비롯해
배달앱 상위순위 맛집 2군데,
배달형 공유주방 한 곳, 일반음식점 3개소입니다.

주요내용을 보면 식자재 원산지를 국내산으로 표기했지만 실제로는 외국산을 사용하는가 하면
유통기한이 지난 소스를 보관 사용하다 적발됐습니다.

또 외국산 오징어 40kg을 국내산으로 거짓 표시하고
갈치조림과 갈치구이를 판매하면서
원재료의 원산지를 표시하지 않은 혐의를 받고 있습니다.
