The province is intensifying crackdown on unauthorized tourism activities targeting foreign tourists.

The enforcement targets encompass travel agencies that hire unqualified tourist guides, unregistered travel operators, and individuals not utilizing their tourism interpreter-guide licenses, and those engaging in paid transportation services.

Since 2018, seven travel businesses and two unqualified guides have been penalized for unauthorized activities.

제주특별자치도가 외국인 관광객을 대상으로 한
무자격 불법관광행위를 중점 단속합니다.

단속대상은 무자격 관광안내사를 고용한 여행사와
무등록 여행업, 관광통역안내사 자격증 미패용, 유상운송행위 등입니다.

지난 2018년 이후 무자격 가이드 고용으로 행정처분을 받은 여행업체는 7곳이며,
과태료 처분을 받은 무자격 가이드는 2명입니다.
