Interval surveillance will be implemented at the intersection of the former (동홍동) Donghong-dong community center in response to the risk of traffic accidents due to the downhill road structure in Seogwipo City.

Seogwipo City plans to invest 70 million Korean Won for the installation of surveillance equipment by the end of this month as part of improvement measures at the former (동홍동) Donghong-dong community center intersection.

The existing equipment will be relocated to the (하효동) Hahyo-dong branch.

In June, a 25-ton truck descending near the (동홍동) Donghong-dong community center intersection collided with three vehicles, resulting in two fatalities and two injuries.

내리막길 도로 구조로 교통사고 위험이 있는
서귀포시 남주고 사거리 교차로에서 옛 동홍동주민센터 교차로 구간에서 '구간단속'이 실시됩니다.

서귀포시는 옛 동홍동주민센터 교차로 교통사고에 따른 개선방안으로 사업비 7천만원을 투입해
이달 말까지 구간단속장비 설치 할 예정이라고 밝혔습니다.

구간단속장비 설치 예정지 사이에 있던 기존 단속장비는 하효동 지점으로 이설될 예정입니다.

지난 6월, 동홍동 주민센터 교차로 인근에서 내리막을 달리던 25톤 트럭이 차량 3대를 들이받아 2명이 숨지고 2명이 다쳤습니다.
