The performance of the newly implemented additional shipping fee support project for Jeju Island residents has faltered over the past month.

According to the province,
over the past month, there have been a total of approximately 30,000 applications for additional delivery fee support.

The payouts for these applications total 90 million won, just under 5% of the 32.5 billion won government budget.

The province announced that it would extend the additional shipping fee support project for another month starting from the 16th.

지난 한달동안
제주도민을 대상으로 처음 운영된
추가 배송비 지원 사업 실적이 저조한 것으로 확인됐습니다.

제주도에 따르면
지난 한달동안 추가 배송비 지원 신청은
모두 3만여 건이 접수됐습니다.

이에 따른
지급 금액은 9천여만 원으로
당초 정부로부터 확보한
사업비 32억 5천만원의 5%에도 미치지 못한 것으로 파악됐습니다.

제주도는
오는 16일부터 한달동안
추가배송비 지원사업을 연장해 운영하겠다고 밝혔습니다.
