Last month, employment figures in the Jeju region remained stable, while the employment rate displayed a slight dip.

The Jeju branch of the National Statistics Office reported that the number of individuals employed in Jeju last month was 406,000, consistent with the levels seen in the same period last year.

The sectors that experienced the most notable growth were business, personal services, and public services, adding 7,000 jobs. In contrast, the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors saw a decline, losing 11,000 jobs.

Furthermore, the employment rate for the previous month stood at 70%, marking a 0.5 percentage point decrease compared to the figures from a year ago.



지난달 취업자 수 보합…고용률은 소폭 하락


지난달 제주지역 취업자수가 보합 수준을 보인 가운데 고용률은 소폭 하락한 것으로 나타났습니다.

통계청 제주사무소에 따르면 지난달 제주도내 취업자 수는 40만 6천명으로 지난해 같은 달 대비 보합 수준을 나타냈습니다.

산업별 취업자는 사업·개인·공공서비스 등에서가장 많은 7천명 증가했으며 농림어업은 1만 1천명 줄어들며 감소세를 이어갔습니다.

이와 함께 지난달 고용률은 70%로 1년 전과 비교해 0.5%포인트 감소했습니다.
