The reduction in financial grants for local education by the government is projected to lead to a significant decrease in grants for the Jeju Provincial Office of Education this year, amounting to a shortfall of 165.7 billion won.

Documents presented to the National Assembly by the Ministry of Education show that the Jeju POE will receive 1.1544 trillion won in regular grants from local fiscal disbursements this year.

Yet, funds are anticipated to fall short by 165.7 billion won compared to the initial allocation due to revenue deficiencies.

This shortfall, representing a 14% deficit rate, equates to an estimated burden of about 1.9 million won per student.



세수 감소로 제주도교육청 보통교부금 1,657억 감소


정부의 지방교육재정교부금 축소로 올해 제주도교육청 보통교부금 감소 규모가 1천 657억원에 달할 것으로 예상됩니다.

교육부가 국회에 제출한 자료에 따르면 올해 제주도교육청에 편성된 지방재정교부금 중 보통교부금은 1조 1천 544억입니다.

하지만 세수 부족으로 당초 편성액보다 1천657억원이 줄어들 것으로 예상됐습니다.

이에 따른 재정결손규모를 나타내는 결손율은 14%로 학생 한명당 190만원 수준입니다.
