Village-School-Children United in Festival



Children draw pictures on wood with their small fingers.
They enthusiastically add colors to decorate.
They are making mobile phone stands using waste wood.
Today, it's not the school teachers but the village residents who are becoming temporary teachers for the children.

It was so much fun, and it was interesting that we could use things that couldn't be used.


The (몽생이) Mongsaengi Festival was held for all students at (대정) Daejeong Elementary School.
Not only the school but also the Daejeong-eup village participated in planning the festival.


In particular, the social cooperative formed through the urban regeneration project, which recently engaged in vigorous activities, prepared an experiential program in the woodworking class.

By utilizing discarded wood in the village to create practical items, they not only teach the children the meaning of recycling but also increase the joy of the residents.

We emphasize upcycling with waste wood to show children that wood can also be recycled.

Children participate in a more diverse range of educational activities for one week, moving away from textbook-centered classes and enjoying a productive time.


Above all, what makes this festival meaningful is that the village residents and children have come together to create an educational community.

아이들이 고사리 손으로 나무 위에 그림을 그립니다.

알록달록 정성스레 색을 더하며 꾸미기에 열중입니다.

폐목재를 활용해 휴대전화 거치대를 만드는 겁니다.

오늘은 학교 선생님이 아닌
마을 주민들이 일일 교사가 돼 아이들을 지도합니다.

대정초등학교에서 전교생을 대상으로 열린 몽생이 축제.

학교뿐 아니라 대정읍 마을이 동참해 축제를 기획했습니다.

특히, 도시재생 사업을 통해 탄생한
대정읍 마을 만들기 사회적 협동조합은
최근 활발한 활동을 이어가는 목공반에서
체험 프로그램을 준비했습니다.

마을에 버려진 나무를 활용해
실용적인 물건을 만들어 내고
아이들에게 재활용의 의미를 알려주며
주민의 기쁨도 배가 됩니다.
