As of the end of September, the overdue local tax amount in Jeju City reached 794 billion won.

Consequently, aiming to achieve a delinquency rate of 3.1% or lower by year-end, the city plans to intensify its collection measures against defaulters. This includes seizing assets such as bank deposits, salaries, and rights, as well as impounding license plates and publicly disclosing the names of those in arrears.

Simultaneously, for taxpayers in challenging financial situations or those falling through the welfare cracks, the city will undertake on-site surveys. Through these tailored tax collection initiatives, the city aims to bolster the community's social safety net.

제주시 지방세 이월 채납액이
지난 9월 말 기준 794억 원에 이르는 것으로 나타났습니다.

이에 따라
연말 체납률 3.1% 이하를 목표로
체납자를 대상으로
예금과 급여, 체권 등을 압류하고
번호판 영치와 명단 공개 등
체납액 징수를 강화할 계획입니다.

이와 함께
생계곤란자 등 복지 사각지대에 놓인 납세자에 대해서는
현장 방문 실태조사를 실시해
맞춤형 체납액 징수활동을 통한
사회안전망 강화에도 기여한다는 방침입니다.
