A minor, who isn't subject to criminal penalties, was apprehended by the police for theft and unlicensed driving on three separate occasions within a month.

The Jeju Dongbu Police announced that on the morning of the 27th of last month, three middle school students were apprehended on suspicion of stealing three vehicles, including cars and motorcycles in Jeju City.

According to the police investigation, one of the minors, A, was under 14 years of age.

A stole a car and drove it without a license during the Chuseok holiday last September.

As he was classified as a law-breaching minor, he was handed over to his parents, however, he attempted to steal money and valuables the following day, revealed to have committed crimes three times within a month.

경찰에 적발됐습니다.

제주동부경찰서는
지난 달 27일 새벽,
제주시내 주택가와 상가에서
자동차와 오토바이 세 대를 훔친 혐의로
중학생 3명을 검거했습니다.


경찰 조사 결과 이 중 한 명은
14세 미만의 촉법소년 A 군으로
알려졌습니다.

A 군은 지난 9월 말 추석 연휴 때
차를 훔쳐 무면허 운전을 했고

촉법 소년에 해당돼 부모에 인계됐지만
이튿날 또 다시 차량에서 금품을 훔치려다 미수에 그치는 등
한달 사이 세차례 범죄를 저지른 것으로 드러났습니다.
