The price of outdoor-grown tangerines this year has hit a record high, showing a strong upward trend.

According to Seogwipo City, the average price of this year's outdoor-grown tangerines is 10,058 KRW for 5kg, which is 21% higher than last year's price of 8,313 KRW.

Particularly in November, the price soared between 9,200 KRW and 12,500 KRW, breaking record with the highest average price in history.

Seogwipo City attributes this increase to a significant reduction in the production of mainland fruits such as apples and pears, coupled with the expectation of a shortage in tangerine supply, which has led to an increase in purchasing power.

11월 같은 기간 평균가격 대비 역대 최고가를 기록하고 있습니다.

서귀포시는 사과나 배 등 육지부 과일 생산량이 크게 감소한데다
감귤 물량도 부족할 거라는 예상으로 인해
구매력이 상승하고 있는 것으로 분석했습니다.
